Little Harbor (or First Harbor) was the site of the first fishing station in Marblehead and where the first settlers arrived.  This was Marblehead first (and only) harbor initially and the area surrounding it was known as Barnegat.  Two island can be found in the waters of Little Harbor – Gerry and Brown’s – with a path to each appearing twice daily at low tide.  The area provides calm and protected waters that fill with boaters, kayaks and swimmers in the Summer months.
