Sunrises are so much more demanding than sunsets but the payoff can be incredible if timed right. You can’t look out your window with an hour to go and decide if the light might be nice. You can’t figure out a composition in good light and wait for the show to start. Nope, you start in the dark, fiddle as the blue hour begins and then you have maybe 15 minutes of really good light. Once the sun actually comes up, much of the game is over unless haze or other factors are on your side. Here is a gallery of dawn and sunrise images of Marblehead.
