The last regularly scheduled Farmers Market of the season takes place tomorrow, November 19th and this seemed a great opportunity to bring back this shot taken several years ago.  The Farmers Market takes place every Saturday from June through October with two additional ones in the month of November.  Local farms bring in their fruit, vegetables, meats and baked goods to sell and several local businesses take part as well.  It’s a wonderful way to start the day on any given Saturday.

This shot was taken back in August of 2008 shortly after we moved to Marblehead.  I struggled to capture the scene of a hectic market that morning and chose instead to find the little details that would properly convey the simplicity of this market.  The handwritten note on the chalkboard advertising these as the last blueberries of the season seemed to provide a perfect representation of our farmers market.  Don’t forget to get your last visit in before the long Winter’s wait for June to return.
