In August 2012, I was able to realize the goal of shooting the Lipton Tea House on Marblehead Neck. Once finished with that incredible structure, I was invited by the owner to photograph other locations on the beautifully manicured grounds abutting the Atlantic Ocean.
I found this Adirondack chairs perfectly positioned for watching the ocean and went about figuring out possible compositions. As you can see by the strong shadows, the sun was nearly overhead at this point which made for less than ideal conditions. I hope the final image conveys both the luxury of being able to sit in these chairs to watch the ocean while feeling the warmth of the Summer sun on your skin.
