On Saturday, after watching the Christmas Walk parade, my seven year old son begged me to take him to the GAR/Civil War museum on the second floor of the Old Town House.  We had been there before but I had heard this was the last weekend it would be open and so I agreed.  We walked up the steps and under a ladder before making our way through the exhibits.  As we got ready to leave, I couldn’t help but ask why the ladder was up and the attic door open.  It was explained that they were beginning preparations for the elevator that would be installed.  I sheepishly asked if I might take a quick look and, having received a quiet okay, went up with camera in hand.

When I popped my head through the attic door, my jaw dropped.  Two beautiful windows overlooking each end of Washington Street!  There was a bit of falling snow and I got to work trying to compose shots in tight quarters, short on time and with a lot of traffic below.  This is one of my favorites where a slight break in the cars allowed for a nice view of Washington Street through this great window.
