One of the most rewarding result of starting Wednesdays in Marblehead has been the incredible people whom I have met and who have invited me into their homes.  Such was the case at ‘Sky High’ which I had happened to photograph recently from atop Castle Rock when on an outing driven by the turquoise waters that had suddenly appeared.  The image turned into a canvas order and the delivery of the print turned into an hour long conversation and tour of this amazing house and its residents.

It wasn’t one week later when I called the owners during a sunset outing in which I was chasing clouds from the causeway (wait til you see that image on Wednesday) out to Marblehead Neck and to Castle Rock.  I was thrilled to catch one of the owners by phone and be allowed to shoot from this incredibly unique vantage point.  Sky High is very aptly named for being the highest point on Marblehead Neck.  I had spotted this view when I first toured the house and returned here to find gorgeous evening light and just enough clouds in the sky.  The castle like house and Castle Rock itself are seen from above and I can only imagine the views from this spot during storms.

I hope the image does some justice to the breathtaking views – I feel incredibly fortunate to have been given access to this location and to have met this amazing family.
