Did you know that Mud Puddle Toys is celebrating their 10th year anniversary?  Seemed appropriate to post this image taken in early February of this year.  I mentioned in the other black and white foggy images that I had ventured out a few days after the Blizzard passed when rain and warmth led to a rapid snow melt.  Around sunset, that combination led to great fog and I photographed Washington Street in the eerie light.  As I made my way down the street, I stopped at the corner of Washington and Pleasant in the hopes that a car would come down the hill.  The headlights would serve to backlight the fog and bring out the effect of the mist.

It took a bit of patience but a car finally did come around and the scene lit up beautifully.  I processed this (like the other images taken that night) as a black and white to highlight the feel and texture of the fog.  I chose to include the snow bank in the foreground to frame the street.  Just wish that one car hadn’t been parked there…
