I mentioned in yesterday’s post that I had gone out on Sunday afternoon to scout foliage in town and to capture the feel of an Indian Summer that had come to Marblehead on this last weekend in September.
I drove out along Beacon Street and glanced in my rearview mirror where I spotted the boats tied up in front of Brown’s Island on this picture perfect day. After checking a few other spots including the view from Fountain Park, I made my way back to Beacon Street and this small outflow which offers a great view of Brown’s Island and this stretch of Little Harbor.
I decided on a wide view to capture the house on the left with its reflection in the still water, the boats anchored in front of Brown’s Island which was just starting to show its Fall colors and the wall on the right helping to lead the eye into the scene. Couldn’t ask for a more perfect scene to depict an Indian Summer in Little Harbor.
