On Friday, October 17, I noted the thick hazy clouds in the morning and the way they diffused the morning sun.  Before taking the kids to school, I threw my camera bag and tripod in the trunk of my car in case the light held for a little longer.

As I came down Lafayette Street, I was thrilled to see the clouds were still holding back the brightness of the sun and noted this small patch of foliage had turned bright red.  I captured a few images from various vantage points but this was an immediate favorite.

With the bright red bush and hazy clouds, the whole scene seemed to convey a Fall morning in Salem harbor.
