I mentioned in yesterday’s post that this week will feature five images captured in a 25 minute span while scouting out Castle Rock in anticipation of arctic air and sea smoke in early January.
After capturing the grand view that one sees as they first come upon Castle Rock, I walked along the rock wall to the break and stairs leading to the beach below. I have photographed this rock face on a few occasions and ended up returning here the next day to take one with a sun star and sea smoke. After sharing that image, I received a comment on my Facebook page that stated: I think you discovered Marblehead’s “Old Man in the Mountain”.
I’m not sure I see a definite face in the granite but I would like to believe we have our very own Old Man in Castle Rock.
