With a mix of sun and rain in the forecast for this weekend, I had a very specific shot in mind that I hoped to capture. On Saturday, I drove out to Hammond Park at a little past 5:00pm when the sun threatened to break through the rain clouds. I arrived just in time to see these three sailboats cross in front of Marblehead Light and managed to get my tripod set and click the shutter for this one shot before the light faded.

I watched the race for a while and the sun never did reappear leaving very flat lighting and boring images for the rest of the evening. I was thrilled to have been able to capture this image I had envisioned and was even more excited when I spotted the seagull overhead also reflecting nice light.

A certain Eminem song may have been playing when I processed this image ;-)
