I shared a few photos from our Friday evening boat ride around Marblehead Harbor but just finished working on several more images from that trip to add to my ‘from the water’ series. As we rounded Fort Sewall and made our way into the protected waters, we spotted a lone man taking advantage of the warm weather and calm conditions for a harbor row.

From this vantage point, the moorings and boats were out of the frame and I was able to focus on the single canoe with the trees of Fort Sewall to the right and Abbot Hall in the distance with just enough cloud cover to break up the hot evening sky.  If you look closely you can see a hint of reflected sunlight on the man’s face mirroring the light reflecting off the house along Front Street.
