We moved to Marblehead in May 2008 and I was still learning about the town when a heavy bank of fog hit at the end of June. There was a lot to explore but, thankfully, the causeway ended up on that list. I didn’t realize it at the time but the causeway had only recently completed renovations and, as you can see, the asphalt was still pristine. Also, it appears the lights hadn’t been completed yet as the poles stand empty. Amazing that history is still being made in an almost 400 year old town and I am glad that I was able to capture this view of a brand new causeway.
