On Friday night, I returned home from work to find some promising clouds over the harbor and headed out before dinner to see about capturing some nice light. I drove to the lighthouse and then came back down to this spot just past the causeway on Marblehead Neck from which I had a few compositions to choose from.
I spent most of my time shooting with Abbot Hall in the frame but, as the sun dipped lower, I spotted the reflecting light of one boat’s windows and adjusted to this mid-harbor view to capture that pop of light on an early October sunset.
