I’ve shared a number of images from the warm months of July over the past few days and decided to go with a more recent shot this morning. This one was taken on October 14th when I was out scouting trees for Fall foliage images. I had been checking on the trees at Crocker Park periodically and they had just started to turn colors on this day. As I walked around trying to find new compositions, I stepped onto one of the rocks that can be found near the central flag pole and saw this view.
The gazebo at Crocker Park is a great little structure but I have struggled with capturing the unique position it inhabits at Crocker Park. Standing on the rocks, I was able to see this scene before me and, between the just-turning leaves, the streaks of clouds in the sky and, of course, Abbot Hall in the distance, I knew I had found the right balance to highlight the little gazebo.
