Five Years of Wednesdays in Marblehead

On August 14, 2010, I created Wednesdays in Marblehead and posted my first image of the Marblehead fireworks taken just one month prior.  As a newcomer to town (we moved here in May 2008), I decided that the best way for me to learn about my new hometown was to photograph it.  I had a simple plan to shoot when I could and share an image once per week on Wednesdays (my day off from my regular job). What I failed to realize or consider at the time was just how much beauty there was to find within the 4.4 square [...]

The Blizzard of 2015

As I did for the Blizzard of 2013, I again setup my camera to shoot a time-lapse for the duration of the storm.  I started the sequence of every two minute intervals at 11:00pm and finished up a little after sunset when the snow finally slowed. During that time, I captured snow plows, the neighbor clearing his driveway, our kids playing in the fresh powder and my daughter's snowman slowly being buried. Here is the full sequence condensed to 23 seconds of the Blizzard of 2015: [KGVID poster="https://wednesdaysinmhd.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/Horizontal1.jpg" width="854" height="480"]https://wednesdaysinmhd.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/Blizzard-in-Marblehead.mp4[/KGVID]

A Look Back at September

Every month, I share a video showcasing every image posted to the Wednesdays in Marblehead site in that time period.  I have shared these on my website on the Videos page and on my Facebook page.  As I plan to be up in Vermont all day today, I set up today's post to be shared in the morning and hope you enjoy a look back at September. Special thank you to Mason Daring of Marblehead for allowing me to use his piece to accompany the video.
