A Preview of my Annual Year End Slideshow

For each of the past two years, I have compiled all the images shared and put them together into a year end slideshow. If three years makes for a tradition, the slideshow 'premiers' on New Year's Day and has been incredibly well received in the past. I finished this year's video over the weekend and then decided to try out iMovie's trailers to see if any might offer a fun preview of the movie before the debut. Three Great Years of Wednesdays in Marblehead

On August 14, 2010, I shared my first image of Marblehead and created the Wednesdays in Marblehead website. I had envisioned sharing images once weekly but, after less than a year, was sharing them daily (guess I should have called it the Daily Marblehead...). Special Town Election – Vote to Fix Abbot Hall Tower

On Tuesday, June 25th, Marbleheaders will go to the polls in a special election. The first question on the ballot will be to appropriate funds to fix damage to Abbot Hall tower. Abbot Hall defines the skyline of our town and I could not imagine not having the tower available for generations yet to come. With that in mind, I produced this slideshow to hopefully convey the singular importance of this vote. Please get out to the ballot box on June 25th and vote YES on Question 1 to fix Abbot Hall tower.

Blizzard of 2013

With the blizzard predicted to dump 2 feet of snow, I thought it might be cool to watch the snow fall as a time lapse. I set up my camera on a tripod against a window looking out at the street at noon on Friday. Using an intervalometer, I had the camera take a photo every 5 minutes and stopped it at 7am. After some quick edits, I combined the 228 images into this 10 second time lapse. Enjoy! Now to dig out so I can get some photos around town...

2012 – A Year of Marblehead Images in Ten Minutes

Last year, I posted my first slideshow of images and it was very well received. When I set out to create this year's version, I realized that I had shared a lot more images in 2012...263 in all. A UFO over Preston Beach ?

I woke up this morning with plans to shoot the sunrise as the pending rain had me thinking we might get a decent one. Sunset at Rockett Landing – A Time Lapse

I learned a lot from the first time lapse video and wanted to try my hand at it again. Had a later start and couldn't make it to Chandler Hovey before sunset so I set my sights on Rockett landing off Village street. Set up the camera to shoot every 5 seconds and stayed in the car to keep those mosquitos away. Didn't have as great a sunset but the cloud movement made up for it. I can't believe how much those boats move around in their moorings...
