I haven’t shared a black and white image in quite some time and found this one waiting in the queue so thought it was a perfect opportunity to bring it out.  This image was taken on Sept 2nd at 7:50am.  This was a period of rain and fog which alternated between boring grey and beautiful moments of light.  On this particular morning, the sky seemed to be clearing so I headed out to try to capture some of that nice light.

As I drove, the light seemed to be best to the east and I ended up on Ocean Avenue about to cross the causeway when I glanced to my left and saw part of this scene before me.  I quickly pulled into the small lot at Riverhead Beach and setup this shot with the waters of Marblehead harbor meeting the causeway at an interesting angle and lamp posts overhead backlit by the nice early morning light.
