New Years Day was a busy one with an outing at dawn to shoot the start of the new year and another at sunset to chase some clouds. For the sunset shoot, I had my son in tow and noticed great light developing as we neared Marblehead and approached sunset. I quickly ran into the house for my camera and out we went to chase the light.
The first stop was Bass Rocks Lane (picture maybe next week) but after that I ended up on the causeway while he hung out at Devereux. I shot towards Marblehead Neck but then turned and looked out over the ocean where I spotted this cloud pattern reflecting the now softening light of sunset. I turned the camera on its tripod and shot the scene as I had taken it in. I included the double yellow line of the causeway to add an extra bit of color to the sunset scene.
