This was my first view from Chandler Hovey Park on July 5th and I think my mouth hung open for a few minutes before I recovered and started capturing the scenes before me. I initially had my favorite 24-105 lens on the camera and shot this view of the Town class boats leaving the harbor at the maximum zoom for that lens. This was taken as the fog had reached its maximum and yet was still staying very close to the water line. The result was the view you see in the distance of fog following the contours of the land while enveloping these Townie boats in the fog.
Immediately after taking this shot, I made the decision to swap out for a telephoto lens and ran to the car to change out the lenses. That was my second best decision of the evening (the first being to chase the fog out toward Chandler Hovey Park) and opened up a world of foggy compositions.
