Today’s image comes from mid-February and an unusually warm day for watching and capturing frostbite sailing in Marblehead Harbor. I had been shooting the sailboats primarily from the air but switched to my camera as they grouped together and captured this shot of the boats racing by Old North Church.
With this arctic blast of cold in the third week of March, I don’t think I’m alone in looking for reminders that Spring should be here soon and with it more boats in the water.
I love your photos and beautiful shots of Marblehead. My late husband loved photography and a good friend Samantha Shostak have captured some of the same beautiful shots. Maybe one day you will catch my boat in a photo.
Thank you Darlene
Great photo!!
Thanks for the Frostbite pics. I spent many, many Sundays sailing and working in the crash boats when I was a kid. Great memories and great pics.
Thanks Reid. Happy to stir up those memories. I posted some aerial shots and videos on my site. Click the link above and then the frostbite tag and you should be able to find them.
Terrific shot! My children enjoyed frostbite sailing.
Outstanding! Love the North Shore.
I always stop for the collegiate rowing teams that practice on the Thomas river.
