This morning’s image is not from the latest Nor’Easter to drop snow on Marblehead but rather the last (or third) Nor’Easter of the season. I previously shared an image of Abbot Hall captured by the drone with its clock face caked in snow.  After flying around Abbot, I descended a bit and explored vantage points from above Washington Street in the first light of day.

As painful as it is to have to deal with snow on the last days of winter as in this image or the first few days of spring (this morning), I have to admit a fresh coat of white does wonders for this section of historic downtown Marblehead. With the angle of the sun and relative warmth, the asphalt isn’t left with the usual winter brown mix of salt and snow. The contrast of black streets and white snow just further accentuates the beauty.

Hope you can find some beauty out there on what better be the very last snowfall of the season…
