Tomorrow marks the 8 year anniversary of Wednesdays in Marblehead and I thought I would look in the ‘to be posted’ folder for the oldest image waiting to see the light of day. This shot was captured on June 11, 2008 (just over one month after we moved to Marblehead). I spent two years exploring Marblehead with my camera before deciding to start a blog and share these images with the world.
Every year I look back and reflect on the journey that these images and this town have carried me on. More to come tomorrow…
Beautiful
My husband and I moved here two years ago, and when looking up photos to see what our new town would be like, we came across your lovely images. So not only have you captured your own move and new life here- you have provided access to a really good “feel” of our town for other new residents- and longtime ones too!
That is to say – thank you.
Gorgeous!
Great pic and you would never think it was Castlerock! Love it!
I like the way the sea spray was captured.
And displaced ‘Headers all around the world (well at least here in CA) are thanking you!
Thanks so much for sharing your journey and your superlative photography with us! <3

I have a photo of Castle Rock with my great grandparents(Frank Brown and Lillian Hawkes Brown) sitting there just after they got engaged back in 1917! I have to find it!
