On a hot Labor Day, I parked at Riverhead Beach and walked the length of the causeway trying to find the perfect spot to capture the deep blue sky over Marblehead Harbor.  At around the mid-point, I found that I could line up Abbot Hall on the left, the edge of Marblehead Light on the right and seemingly endless masts of boats filling the space in between.

With a big blue sky punctuated by white clouds overhead, I had the makings of a picture perfect summer day in Marblehead.
