On Wednesday, I headed out the door to chase storms at Riverhead (that shot is coming tomorrow) before making my way to Fort Beach in the hopes of capturing a rainbow (I didn’t but got one at Castle Rock an hour later). While at Fort Beach, I wandered up and down Front Street in search of new compositions that did not rely on the Great Tree at the Fort. When i moved far enough over, I was able to hide the emptiness of Fort Sewall with some foliage while also lucking out with a scattered collection of boats at low tide. The boats added needed splashes of color to the scene and the still water beautifully reflected the light in the early evening sky.

This is such a beautiful shot, Eyal. There’s my Paul’s lobster boat bobbing along at the mooring. I consider this his “office” – what a way to start the day each day, huh?
Love this shot, spent endless hours at this beach!
I can’t tell you how much peace your photos bring after scrolling past election posts. I see my beautiful Marblehead so beautifully depicted and take a huge cleansing sigh of hope and contentment.
You are right with the needed color of the foreground boats…they contribute immensely to this shot.Love it,
