The temperatures this weekend definitely made it feel as though fall was here (though the expected warmup later in the week will hopefully mean that summer hasn’t let go of us yet). I couldn’t help but notice a number of trees have already turned more than a month earlier than normal and I suspect that means a very fitful or staggered foliage season in Marblehead.

This weekend, I looked back at images of past autumns and decided to share this one of the trees at Lead Mills caught at peak foliage from October 30, 2019. I cross Lafayette into town every day and would watch this section of foliage develop until it hit its peak. I lucked out with the light and calm water serving to reflect the colors of the leaves.
