I’ve shared a few images from the incredible sunset that took place on February 10th though all of those were of Abbot Hall and the houses surrounding it. From my vantage point atop a large piece of granite at Crocker Park, I was able to turn around and shoot toward Marblehead Harbor as the sun set.
At this point, the light had reached its peak opposite the setting sun (the show was only getting started in the other direction). I decided on a wide view and used the nearby tree to frame the composition together with the deep blanket of snow in the foreground. You can just make out a single boat in Marblehead Harbor with the ocean water taking on the pink color of the sky.
