Over the past few days, the quality of light has subtly changed to reflect the fact that Spring has finally arrived. While the temperatures could stand to be a bit warmer and while I await the cherry blossoms in town to reach peak bloom, I haven’t been able to help but go out to shoot the sunset these past few nights.
Last night I was treated to a very nice show from Parker Lane. Tonight I decided to head to Foster Street in the hopes that the light might be nice both toward Abbot Hall as well as back up toward the lighthouse. As I reached my destination, I noted the sun was about to drop through a break in the clouds and quickly got my camera ready and in position for the golden light that was about to hit Marblehead Neck. While I anticipated the golden light, its perfect contrast with the deep blue sky and water was incredible to behold.
I couldn’t wait to share this image so I’m posting it a bit early. Enjoy this first glimpse of Spring and warmer days ahead.
