On Friday night, as the sky exploded in pinks and purples, I pulled out my iPhone and snapped a quick photo to share on my Facebook page.  This image was taken immediately after as the vivid pink light of sunset created the illusion of clouds on fire over Marblehead Harbor.

The scene before me was incredible to behold in person.  The incredible pink light on the underbelly of the clouds, the dramatic structure of those clouds, a lone pier extending into Marblehead Harbor, and the familiar skyline of Marblehead with Abbot Hall all captured in a single frame.

I packed up right after this image and headed home realizing this really was as good as it gets…
