This image is a year old and has been hanging in my office for just about that long but I just realized that I have never shared it here.  In early January 2012 (the same day as my color image of this scene from the end of Doak’s Lane), I made this image that was intended as a square crop.  The color photo from sunset remains one of my favorites but this black and white is a close second.  I love the feel of black and white for these long exposure images (180 seconds in this case).  The processing was aimed at highlighting the contrast in the silky smooth water (rendered white) and the great textures in the tree, rocks and house.
