Earlier in the week, I became a bit overwhelmed by the number of images I had waiting to post and turned to Facebook to see what everyone was most interested in seeing.  The answers included the expected foliage shots but also a strong vote for more images taken in the fog.

This image comes from the morning of September 11th when an incredibly dense fog rolled in and enveloped Marblehead Harbor.  I began shooting from near the State Street Landing but moved toward Fort Beach as the sun rose in the morning sky.  This was one of the last images captured on this morning.  The sun had lit up the fog and turned it a great shade of orange at this point.  The masts of the sailboats lined up nicely with Marblehead Lighthouse and the calm waters helped with the overall feel of the scene.
