This weekend marked the Annual Christmas Walk and, as the festivities began, a light snow fall commenced to add to the festive mood.  After Santa landed by way of a lobster boat and took photos with the assembled kids, a parade took place led to Glover’s Regiment.  I happened to have ended up in front of Old Town House with my kids and, as the regiment marched up State Street, I quickly grabbed the camera and found an angle to capture this moment.  When the lead drummers turned, I grabbed this image.  The Regiment largely hid the assembled crowd and the ‘painted ladies’ of State Street (the houses in the background) served as a great backdrop to the scene.  The faint traces of falling snow and the wet ground reflecting shadows helped as well.  Sure does put you in the mood for the holiday season…
