On October 26, I had headed out to capture the Halloween Race in the harbor. After shooting the boats with their multicolored sails passing in front of Abbot Hall, I decided to head across the causeway and over to Crocker Park for one last check of the Fall colors. I found some trees had turned earlier than others and this particular one on the left side of the screen was displaying some great color.
I decided on a vertical (or portrait) orientation and tried to capture the feel of Fall against the familiar backdrop of Abbot Hall and the houses seemingly stacked up against it. I had captured an image with a very similar composition in February of this year and included it below to show the marked difference a few months can make.
