I mentioned in yesterday’s post that I had gone out on Friday, May 29 as fog enveloped Marblehead in order to capture scenes around town. I started off searching for scenes of boats in the mist and found just the right scene at the public way on Parker Lane.
I photographed the boats and their masts disappearing into the fog with the not-so-distant shores seemingly vanished. I found those compositions lacking until I walked under this private pier and decided to use it to break up the view of boats in the mist. Black and white seemed to give the final image just the right atmosphere.
