As the sun rose on Sunday, February 14, I made my way across the causeway and onto Marblehead Neck to capture images of the still present sea smoke inside Marblehead Harbor.  Despite the sun, the air temperature remained below zero and the smoke kept rising from the water.  Unfortunately, the wind had shifted slightly and was blowing straight at me.

I drove into the lot at Chandler Hovey park only to quickly turn around having not seen any photographic opportunities.  I made my way down to the causeway and spotted these two working boats moored near shore.  I had to time this shot between gusts of wind so that the lens wouldn’t become frosted with smoke and came away with a nice depiction of the morning’s arctic conditions.
