I had my eye on the sky last night and was hoping for a solid sunset but some late clouds spoiled the show. Instead I dove into my ‘to be posted’ archive and stopped at this shot from an early October evening. I had to check the location of this shot and was surprised to see I had captured it from Harbor Avenue just before it merges onto the causeway. With my telephoto lens near its full extension, the boats filling nearly every mooring are brought into close proximity to the Boston Yacht Club and homes on the distant shore. The effect instantly made me think of a full house – hence the title.
Boats are rapidly entering Marblehead Harbor now that spring has arrived. It won’t be long before we are treated to these views once more.
