Before capturing the moonrise on Sunday night, I had driven across the causeway to capture some interesting clouds over Abbot Hall. I decided to shoot from the float at the end of the Pleon Yacht Club pier and was thrilled to find the first signs of fall in the changing leaves across the harbor.  I composed this image to capture the boat in the foreground reflecting the afternoon sun and with the cloud formation over Abbot Hall on the left with the orange and yellow tree foliage at the edge of Crocker Park on the right.

I ended up with a few ‘keepers’ from this spot across the water and may share more in the days to come. Have to take advantage of the nice weather while boats still fill most of the moorings…
