After capturing the view at Waterside Cemetery on Wednesday, I continued to drive around Marblehead and then onto the Neck to find scenes of spring. As I turned down Foster Street, I spotted a boat perfectly positioned on its mooring in midharbor and found a nice spot along the Pleon pier where I could line it up with Abbot Hall and the BYC. From there it was just a matter of waiting for a break in the clouds and capture the feeling of a perfect spring day in Marblehead.
For those who can’t zoom in 200% to read the boat’s name it is Litera SEA (if anyone knows the backstory to that name, please share it).
Enjoy the weekend!
Hello Dr. Oren,
As one of your asthma patients I know you are a wonderful doctor. As the owner of the “first sailboat in Midharbor” this past spring, I now know you are a creative photographer. The name , Litera SEA, for my Sabre 425, is a spin-off of the title of a book I wrote many years ago called Web Literacy. Teaching critical thinking about the Internet has been a passion of my professional work. I wanted to bring the title of my book to my passion for sailing.
By the way, I have developed a daily habit of taking my Brio!!
Cheers,
Alan November
Thanks Alan!
