Back to the top of St. Michael’s Church for this From the Rooftop view looking out over historic downtown and Marblehead harbor.  I mentioned in Monday’s post that I had been invited to the top of the scaffolding around St. Michael’s Church on Friday night and had spent the first part of that night capturing scenes of Marblehead from the unique elevated vantage point.  I had just thought that I was finished with my From the Rooftop series after climbing to the top of Marblehead Light and, with one phone call, I have many more images to share in this not-yet-ended series.

Though the forecasters predicted a clear night, we were treated to a very nice Summer sunset from this perch atop the scaffolded structure.  My favorite image was that of the steeple but his is a close second with views of the homes of historic downtown lining Washington Street at Bank Square and Marblehead Harbor still bursting at the seams with boats serving as the backdrop under pink hued skies.
