On February 10th, I had gone out to Crocker Park in order to capture images of this historic Winter with record amounts of snow. I was rewarded with an incredible sunset that lit up the sky and colored the snow in a pink hue.
Before capturing that image, I had worked on several other compositions as the light began to develop. This image is a tighter shot than the prior sunset view and features an undisturbed patch of snow in the foreground with a blanket of snow seemingly thrown over the town of Marblehead.
As I worked on this image, I zoomed in to 100% and found a man on a roof shoveling snow. He’s a bit hard to see unless you click on the image (on the website) for a full size view but there seemed to be no better representation of the Winter we have been experiencing than that perfect moment captured in great light.
