In late September, I headed out to Crocker Park to capture the moonrise.  This was to be a supermoon given its proximity to Earth and the lunar eclipse was due to take place the following night.

I had hoped to capture some foliage in the trees at Crocker Park to go along with the moonrise but the warm temperatures had kept the leaves from changing to their Fall colors.  Instead, I sought out different compositions and ended up behind the swing bench with a nice view of Marblehead harbor still filled with boats.

The moon rose a bit before sunset so it did not have the golden glow that would come the following night.  It still made for a nice outing on a perfect September evening.
