Remember how I was lamenting Thursday’s mediocre sunrise in this morning’s post? Tonight’s sunset after the first snow of the season more than made up for that morning!
I arrived home after work and grabbed my wife and kids to drive down Pleasant Street and view Tom Saltsman’s latest Halloween masterpiece…King Kong. After that we headed home and I quickly turned around to drive across the neck as I had spotted a small opening in the cloud cover near the horizon.
I arrived on Foster Street and, sure enough, sunset light had snuck through and lit up the clouds. The first snow of the season served as a nice reflector of the light. I had hoped for a few more boats on the moorings given the late October date but these four did the trick of breaking up the foreground water.
Reminder: tomorrow and Sunday I will be having a Contactless Pop Up Sale on 2021 Marblehead Calendars and my Wednesdays in Marblehead books. Saturday 9am-2pm (might be a bit messy with the snow) and Sunday 10am-2pm. Venmo/Cash/CC accepted. Hope to see you at 21 Shetland Road!
Gorgeous
Thank you Mother Nature…and our wonderful Photographer!
Are you going to show us King Kong?
In just a few minutes…
WOW! Magnificent sunset. ???
Marblehead is the most magical place on earth! I’m just a girl from the Deep South who was fortunate enough to spend 2 years living there in the early 90’s. Left my heart there when my husband was transferred. Your pictures always glow of magic!
