This image comes from a boat ride in and around Marblehead Harbor taken on July 16th. We had incredible light and my friend was more than happy to chase that light with me as we cruised the waters surrounding this incredible town and eventually found our way into Marblehead Harbor.
For anyone who hasn’t taken a boat into our harbor, it is an obstacle course of incredible boats of many shapes, sizes and styles. As we approached Abbot Hall, I spotted these J105s and quickly grabbed this image. Between the boats sharing the same style, the great clouds reflecting early sunset light, Abbot Hall Tower standing tall and the few seagulls placed between masts, this image became a quick favorite.
If anyone knows the owners of Knotless or Dark Horse, let them know their J105s are featured on today’s image.
