This will serve as a make-up post after today’s poor showing on the site. With the storm that came through tonight, I had really been hoping for a chance at shooting some lightning and headed out to the Neck with that in mind. Unfortunately there was only wind, grey skies and some drizzle there so I walked around hoping the sun might shine through at sunset. Not 10 minutes later, I saw the first hint of pink. And then some more and then a bit more until this scene unfolded. I had to crank up the ISO on the camera to keep the waving flag from becoming a blur but managed to get the peak of light in this image. Enjoy.
