After catching the sunrise from Grace Oliver beach, I walked down Beacon Street to see what the colors were doing behind Brown’s Island.  With a few minutes to spare before the sun rose above the treetops, I quickly composed this image to put the island into silhouette and highlight the great light reflecting off the clouds overhead.

All told, I spent one hour between Little Harbor and Grace Oliver beach shooting the dawn and sunrise.  In that time, I kept walking (or running) back and forth to ‘chase the light’ and try to make the most of each location’s landmarks.  It just goes to show that you need to be aware of the possibilites around as the light develops around you.
