blue moon over lighthouse

I arrived home from work last night and my 6 year old son starts telling me about ‘moon jellyfish’ that he saw while tide pooling at camp today.  He can’t stop describing them and is almost beside himself at how amazing it was to hold one.  The more he talked, the more I thought it worth heading out to see them.  I decided to postpone my dinner and got them in the car to head back to Front Street beach where he had been earlier in the day.  We got to Front Street at low tide and scampered around the rocks but couldn’t find those jellies anywhere.

As we get set to go, I looked up and saw the moon rise over the cloud layer and present itself in just the right spot.  I quickly changed from the lens I used to photograph the kids to a longer one to get the moon. I started looking for the best composition and ended up walking up Front Street to line up the moon, boats and lighthouse just right.  This was my favorite of the set.[/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
