This seemed like a good photo to finish off the week and get the long weekend off to a nice start. I shared two images from this vantage point already – the Harvest Moon and the 116 Megapixel panorama that immediately preceded it. While I was at this unique spot overlooking the perfectly calm waters in Marblehead Harbor, I couldn’t help by shoot all the compositions that came to mind as the sun set and the pink colors of sunset reflected off the water.
I don’t often shoot verticals – especially when the horizontal offers so much more to take in – but this tighter shot of the boats in Marblehead Harbor and Marblehead Lighthouse in the near distance seemed to be a good opportunity to flip the camera around.
