I mentioned in yesterday’s post the the seasonably cold temperatures had started to put me in the mindset of snow and, having not had any storms to shoot yet, left me to explore the archive of to-be-posted images.  I shared an image from the end of December yesterday.  Today, we turn back to January 16, 2013 when I went out in the middle of a storm to capture the freshly falling flakes.

I wound up taking one of my favorite images of Redds pond during this storm – LINK – but also captured a number of other scenes of snow in Marblehead.

This particular shot comes from a favorite vantage point showcasing the houses lining Little Harbor as seen from Doaks Lane.  I loved the almost monotone image with the exception of the soft browns of the houses and the subtle reflections in the disturbed waters.
