Today’s image comes from July 28 and the incredible light show at sunset that saw a wide range of colors erupting over Marblehead Harbor. At one point, a beautiful blue showed in the space between the clouds and horizon with golden light reflecting off the cumulus clouds onto the water below.
I had been shooting from the pier at the Pleon Yacht Club and so I could quickly adjust to the light as it moved across the harbor. I only fully appreciated the intensity of the blue light over Marblehead harbor when I loaded this image on my return home as I had been too busy composing images while out there at sunset.
