It’s hard to believe that I haven’t shot the full moon rising in Marblehead since this image captured in mid-July. Weather is mostly to blame with many of the full moons having been hidden behind thick cloud cover over the past few months. However, with most full moon risings, I have tried to capture the scene from more than one perspective.
On this night, I had managed to get the moon placed perfectly over Marblehead Light and then walked down to Fort Beach while there was still enough light in the sky to capture this wider view including the boats tied up in the shallow cove with the light of the moon reflecting on the waters of Marblehead Harbor.
